International Mud Day:  Wednesday 29 June

Mud Day logoEvery year Muddy Faces supports and celebrates International Mud Day. Playing with natural materials encourages a connection with nature, giving a positive effect on well-being, learning and development.

bowls full of mudOur Muddy Faces Mud Pack grows each year & is jam-packed full of ideas, photos, examples, risk assessments and, of course, our inspiring Making a Mud Kitchen book.

We are proud to say our Mud Pack has become truly international, having been translated by inspired a muddy handpractitioners in countries across the world – it’s now available in English, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Welsh.

Congratulations to Hayley Arnold, Forest School Coordinator at Mile Cross Primary School who won last month's competition. She said "The children worked as a large team over several weeks and developed their communication skills  whilst burning off lots of energy. How wonderful it is to spend time in the woods". Above is the winning entry. 

Website updated 
Our new website is up and running.  It is should be quicker to load and has a much better search function.  It has links to our social media pages and is responsive, making it easier to view on mobile devices.

For parents, grandparents & carers, early years practitioners & outdoor providers. Aiming to deepen understanding, address practicalities and support meaningful experiences in nature.
